There’s something special about celebrating a first birthday. Especially when you’re a first time mom or dad. Reality sets in.. you just spent 365 days taking care of this little tiny human. You’ve watched them grow and learn so much. It also gives you such excitement for what the next year holds as your little one turns into a toddler.

I had a great time capturing these beautiful photos for my friend Melissa. I’m so glad I was able to give her these beautiful memories to remember this time in her life. Life goes fast and is a little crazy at times but it’s so worth it when you can see the miracle of that little human right in front of you!
