Kids grow up to fast

Time flies! We all know that too well. I think it’s so important to stop every year (or however often you can invest in family photos) and take the time to document that very moment in your life. Children change so much for one year to the next. For example, this time last year my daughter still had short hair. Now, her hair is past her shoulders, and she has the most beautiful curls. Seeing photos from last year makes me so nostalgic. It’s so important to capture your story at that moment in time.

Bring everyone together

This is a great time to bring everyone together. I say make a day or night out of it! If you have a morning session, go out to breakfast or lunch while you have your hair and make-up and everyone is all dressed up. If you have an evening session then go out for dinner and ice cream afterwards.

Create memories and a family legacy

Last but not least, these photos are so important to preserve your memories and to document your family’s legacy. These will be memories that your children can hold onto and pass down to future generations. Nowadays with so many digital photos it’s so crucial to print your photos. My mom has photos that are over 90 years old from when my grandmother turned 1!

I know photography can be a big investment, but I promise you it’s so worth it when you looked back at those photos. You cannot put a price on that!
